Care and storage
A stretch tent that is cleaned and stored properly lasts many seasons. These are the care instructions from our product specifications.
Cleaning the fabric
- Clean the stretch fabric with a mild, pH-neutral soap and water.
- Let the fabric dry completely before you fold it. Never store a damp canvas.
- The fabric is UV-stable and weather-resistant; the smooth finish makes dirt easy to remove.
Storing the canvas
- Fold the dry canvas and store it in the tent bag that comes with every complete set. Bags are also available separately in two sizes.
- Store the bag in a dry place.
Wooden poles
- Douglas poles are sanded and treated; Robinia poles are peeled and sanded natural hardwood. Both need minimal maintenance: cleaning and, if desired, natural oiling.
- Robinia is naturally weather-resistant hardwood (durability class 1). Douglas has durability class 3.
- Check the galvanised eyelets and the pole caps before each installation.
Straps, pegs and hardware
- Tension straps are made of UV-resistant high-tenacity polyester with galvanised steel ratchets. Keep them clean and dry.
- Ground pegs and carabiners are galvanised steel. Remove pegs with care after checking the soil conditions.
